These creatures you call mice, you see, they are not quite as they appear. They are merely the protrusion into our dimension of vastly hyperintelligent pandimensional beings.

THE WHOLE BUSINESS WITH THE CHEESE AND SQUEAKING IS JUST A FRONT.

[ Or How I Became Owned by Mice...and Rats...and a certain Hamster... ]

I planned out a life to be a veterinarian, but life detoured me mid-way through fulfillment.  Literature played a big role in the original goal.

Beatrix Potter is a hero of mine because she was able to take her keen interest in small animals and translate her intimate relationships, observations, and insights with them into written work for us to enjoy.  God's humble creatures became more than cute caricatures at best, or inconvenient/deadly pests at worst.

At age 45 - not being able to have a cat or dog in my rental apartment - it dawned on me that mice might be the perfect answer.  I did some research, went to the pet store to find my new friends, and plunged in.

Thus has begun my story of how Mice came to own me...*
